Dear Diary

Hello, online space. How have you been?

Me? I'm working on something pretty exciting. A personal project that I promised myself will see the light of day. Currently I'm working on the logotype for it (hint! hint!).

I'm feeling the handwritten type these days, and also this shade of electric blue. I'm not sure though if the blue would fit the mood I'm going for so we shall see.

A song I'm listening to on repeat as I write this post: ➤ Vision by Family Reunion

What I'm thinking: Cleo is a rad name.

Linen / Fresh Flowers / Muted Tones / Gossamer / Rosé / Tangerines / Rose Mary / Shadows of trees / Brunch / Iced Coffee / Milky water / Daydreams

HA:TFELT's Pluhmm music video. That's it. That's the eternal mood.

dreamy clutter

This format is all over the place but I quite like it. Stream of consciousness. A diary entry scribbled haphazardly. No context whatsoever. An afterthought.

It makes sense to me so that's all that matters.

Anyway, I'm trying to find a song with the name "Orpheus" in it, typed "Orpheus In Love" but google's just showing me photos of Bob Dylan and his lovers.

update: I found it. It's called "Orpheus Under The Influence"

New Beginnings

And so, I'm giving this blogging thing another go.

I've made and abandoned a thousand blogs by now. All of them titled Witchcraft Coated Lips. In fear of this space suffering the same faith I decided to do some re-branding.

Kaya /ˈkaːɪa/. In local vernacular, It means to be able. Kaya ko. I can do it.

I chose this word as my blog title because I think it perfectly captures my vision for this space. I want my blog to serve as a reminder of all the things I said "kaya ko" to. A place where I can document my progress as I try to accommodate/juggle all my passion projects and creative endeavors. Because trust me, I have a lot of them. I just haven't gotten around to making them happen yet.

Hopefully, updating this blog will be enough motivation for me to start doing all the things I said I would. It's going to be a long process, and I'll probably hate 99.9% of the things I make. I will eventually get demotivated, because WTF! why do I suck at the things I'm passionate about?? Lot's of crippling self-doubt. Lot's of comparing myself to others. Am I ready for it? hell YES! Because I know in the end it's going to be worth it. Because I believe, more than anyone else, that I can do it.

Kaya ko.

Soooooo yeah. This is a blog. It's mine. Let's make  things happen this year!!!
